Welcome to this blog. I am Ruth Thembani Odigie.

My various job descriptions are mom to a fast growing boy (let's call him Lentil) and a crawly caterpillar baby (let's call him Chickpea), wife to a shepherd (let's call him Shepherd), worker in our family business, gardener and community builder.

I'm hoping for this to be a place to let words flow ungoverned, to let thoughts unravel and go where they will, a place to roll truths over and over in my mind and let them leave their impressions. A place to share some of the treasures of the here and now, to explore this thing called motherhood, to keep track of some of the battle scars along the journey, and to offer thanks for it all. A blank canvas for the sheer indulgence of freedom of expression, to get me writing - and writing more than just fcbk status updates.
